The main objective of this article is to examine peculiarities of representation of the persona by Olzhas Suleimenov in his autobiographical lyric poem «The Balcony» and interpretation of its plot by makers of the homonymous movie. The author of this article investigates compositional and structural peculiarities of the Suleimenov’s poem drawn up as reminiscence of the persona narrating about events twenty five years ago at the center of Almaty in first person. «The Balcony» is perceived by scholars as a minor lyric genre or lyric essay. From the author’s point of view, the poem presents clear signs of elegy and tolgau philosophic genre, the roots of which go back to Kazakhstan folklore. This very idea is an initial one when analyzing common points in plots of the poem by Olzhas Suleimenov and the movie by Kalybek Salykov. The article describes the problems of implementation of the poem plot, main actions of characters, movie motifs representing the spirit of the generation in the 60s of the 20th century.

This article discusses the specifics of chess terminological system. Huge popularity of sport, describing with fascinating development of sport and inclination to the sport progression not only of the participants of com­ petitions but also of a lot of funs shows active use of sport, in particular, chess terms in their directly nominative meanings. Great number of chess terms gives an inexhaustible possibility for their usage in different commu­ nicative situations and it is really valuable for the reporters as a rich source of new ways of attracting readers. The article also gives examples of the identified word classes, origin of chess terms, as well as methods of their formation, which were selected by continuous sampling method. At the beginning there are definitions of such concepts as «terminology» and «terminological system». The value of the article is that the findings and examples shown here could be used in the teaching practice of terminology and linguistics, as well as the basics of journalism.

The methods and principles of teaching foreign language

The article deals with the problem of teaching foreign language. The main principles of teaching and its useful methods. Speech patterns con­ tain vocabulary, and colored guides for pronunciation are used to assist the teacher in guiding the students’ understanding while saying the least amount possible. One effective way of valuing children’s work as well as providing a real incentive, is to plan for a range of ways to publish their writing. This article also deals how children access stories, poems and other texts if their minds and imaginations not fully engaged. We have found that immersing children in a range of creative activities before reading the text means that they are fully prepared, and excited, about the reading journey ahead of them. Through painting, music composition, a film project, in role drama or sculpture, the kids have had a chance to share vocabulary, ideas and concepts which gives their reading fresh meaning and purpose.

In this article forms and types of speech activity in system of commu­ nicative situations are considered, various stages of scientific and technical cooperation are analyzed. The first year university students of the Kazakh departments studying Russian according to the program of discipline «Pro­ fessionally oriented Russian language» learn a quite extensive volume of lexical and grammatical material. On the basis of educational and scien­ tific texts students get acquainted with a wide range of data on their spe­ cialty and as a result get a large supply of terms and syntactic structures, typical for the language of this specialty. Text­books on scientific style of Russian and the concrete situations which future specialists meet in their practical professional activity aren’t considered. It means that more atten­ tion should be paid to the communicative­functional aspect which can be realized in the course of training on the specialty language. Therefore one of the main objectives of the course «Professionally oriented Russian language» is not further expansion of a stock of terminological lexis which future young specialists have to acquire, but training students’ abilities to cope with the communication situations which can appear in their practi­ cal professional work.

An interdisciplinary approach to teaching professionally-oriented english

The paper considers application of interdisciplinary approach to teach­ ing professionally­oriented English for the students of physics. Interdisci­ plinary pedagogical practice allows the teacher to cross the traditional boundaries of discipline­centered teaching by drawing knowledge from two or more academic disciplines. In teaching foreign languages at non­ linguistic faculties it is especially important to develop skills of render­ ing of special scientific texts. This work fully implements possibilities of interdisciplinary approach to teaching foreign languages. Therefore, one of the tasks of teaching English at the natural science faculties is to form skills of working with the original English­language literature on specialty, and in particular, to develop skills of writing summaries of the texts. Stu­ dents have to learn how to write annotations and abstract in the English language to the scientific articles written in their native language. On the example of teaching English at the of Physics & Technology it is shown that interdisciplinary approach to helps students to gain better understanding of physical laws.

There are actual problems of literary criticism in the article: the sci­ entific and methodological basis of implementation of the program in the contexts of the works of Chingiz Torekulovich Aitmatov, «Jamila», «The Scaffold», and «Stormy Whistle Stop». The author emphasizes the idea of fundamental problems of humanity, whichareput on the agenda in the new way: the majesty of man, the grace of nature and eternal life. The writer’s works depict reality, everyday life, which passes our existence, but it can be seen through the perfection of life to what we aspire. Great attention is paid to «discovery» of the writer in the article; it contains novelty cre­ ations, and stands out the idea that creativity of Chingiz Aitmatov was the authentic sample of artistry.
