The article deals with the substantial components of the basic concept of «Time». Universal, national­cultural and individual layers are identified. It holds in­detail description of the «passive layer» of the concept of «Time». As the material of description the works of the famous contemporary poet and writer Timur Zulfikarov were considered. The researcher highlights language means that represent the concept of «Time»: lexical units in the literal sense – words with temporal color, metaphorical designations, com­ parisons, epithets, figurative associations, symbolic assimilation. The fo­ cusing on the context of language units representing the concept of «Time» gives an opportunity to reveal the periphery of the concept, to describe the meaning shades that are not fixed in any lexicographical sources, and final­ ly to discover the peculiarities of studied concept in linguocultural aspect.

In the article the essence of concept «national idea» is comprehended. The main aspects of this problem’s reseaching in modern literary studies are revealed. The factors, which are influencing on formation and evolu­ tion of national idea, are considered. On the basis of the analysis of Kazakh literature’s works of XVIII­XIX centuries its role and value are defined in artistic work. It is established, that the national idea embodies aesthetic, ethical ideals and values of writers. It assists disclosing of the author’s con­ cept of life, deeper comprehension of heroes’ psychology, their attitudes to the reality. The national idea penetrates a content, poetics of artistic works. It causes a genre originality of the literature. Spirituality, patriotism, morals are its major components. The national idea is embodied in Kazakh literature of XVIII­XIX centuries at a level of a content, a plot, system of images. In the center of attention of folklore, akyns and zhyrau’s works there are social phenomena, historical events, inner world of the persons, comprehended in a context of a society’s development.

The investigator’s scientific­theoretical views on the collection of stories «The Moons of Jupiter» including the literary heritage of Canadian Nobel Prize laureate, Alice Munro are discussed in this article. The obvi­ ous and secret psychologisms were researched in the original texts of the writer’s some stories. The author of the article theoretically sustains the problems touched upon in the Canadian writer’s stories, expresses her at­ titude towards the critics’ opinions who investigated psychologisms on the scientific­theoretical level, presents the extracts from the stories. Alice Munro describes the characters’ lives with its sharp turning and progress and slopes caused the moral crises. Each page of author’s short stories may be considered the slide of real life.

This article proves Jack London’s novel Martin Eden belongs to eco­ socialistic novels. Firstly it has political view which is not capitalistic, nei­ ther socialistic, something in between, which totally identify Eco–social­ism. One of the main concepts of this theory also is humanism. And as we all are very familiar, there are bright signs of it. And the last, but not the least, is harmony between human and nature, which is also Eco–socialist direction. All of these analyses are shown in this article.

Higher education in Kazakhstan is experiencing a new stage of devel­ opment associated with the modernization, based on the dominance of the personal educational vector of future specialist, of a competent in their field. Preparation of students takes into account the innovative processes in the system of higher education, having the status of the translator tar­ get orientations in preparation scientific and pedagogical personnel. The growth of the subjective factor by improving and intensification of student autonomy, increasing the role of self evaluation and creativity require fun­ damentally new approaches to the organization of educational process, especially at the time of the direct inclusion of the student in a situation which is a educational practice of Folklore – one of the most important components of the training specialist­philologist. In the present publication describes the experience conducting practice in the educational program of preparation students of the Russian branch the Faculty of Philology and the world’s languages in Al­Farabi Kazakh National University with access to new vectors in methodological level.

This article investigates the importance of the term «concept» in mod­ ern human science. The essence of this notion is considered in the light of different scientific disciplines and approaches. On the basis of generaliza­ tion and analysis of theoretical works, devoted to the problem of concept, the properties and characteristics, the specificity of the artistic concept are revealed. In the process of analysis it was proved that in literary work, this term appears as a fixed option of individual author’s concept, which is accumulated in the semantic configuration of its concept sphere. The study of the artistic concept allows not only to penetrate in the nature of verbal creativity, generating artistic sense, but also to explore the art of communication. This paper examines the contribution of literature to the development of the concept sphere of people. It is stated that in modern philological science, this concept acts as a tool in studying the unity of the artistic world of the literary work and the writer’s national world.

The article discusses the features of conversational vocabulary transla­ tion in prose, as the same lexemes can have different stylistic signs in vvvaaarrriii­­ ous academic dictionaries and clearly demarcated between mentioned in a speech lexemes. Analysis of English spoken language in the text of the novel by Thomas Hardy’s «Tess of d’Erbervilley» in translation from English into the Russian language shows that the translation of stylistically colored vocabulary causes some difficulties because of its national specificity, se­ mantical and emotional richness. In this regard, consideration of methods of translation of spoken and stylistically reduced vocabulary from English into the Russian language also remains topical. Sometimes translators solve relevant issues in the translation process. On the specific examples is proved that the lexical and phraseological units of colloquial style of any developed language reveals not only the specifics of the structural and grammatical organization of the language, but, most importantly, reflect in their semantics process of history and culture of the people. They are fixed and transmitted from generation to generation, culture attitudes and stereotypes. It is also determined that the use of the local language may be due to different geographical factors, as special colloquial phrases, dia­ lects, and sometimes accents in the speech of the characters.

The purpose of modern education is the formation of an individual possessing comprehensive knowledge, new outlook on the future, and creative thinking. The formation cognitive competence of the students, their desire to strengthen their independence is the basic requirement for the improvement of the level of teacher’s educational activity in a com­ prehensively new direction. This article is dedicated to the methods of developing students’ cognitive skills, as well as the ways of improving the educational process at lessons of Kazakh language. Moreover, a special attention should be paid to the use of innovative technologies in the edu­ cational process in order to achieve good results in activation of cognitive activity of the students. As teaching is a special type of cognitive activity, works carried out in this direction is dedicated to the development of the competences of the students.

As the process of globalization involves drastic transformations of economies and societies as a whole, its impact on culture and language must not be underestimated as it can be traced in every aspect of life. To analyse better whether or not the increasinguse of English is detri­ mental to Kazakh language and culture in the long run, a further and de­ tailed research needs to be conducted on the extent of the use of English in Kazakh society and its effects on Kazakh educational system and culture. In the process of globalization Language borrowings are a clear evidence of linguistic dominance of one language over others; Borrowing has been defined as the introduction of phonological, morphological, lexical, and syntactic items from one language or into another. Also, having noted that the spread of English is an indication of glo­ balization process, the analysis of who supports and who opposes to the spread of English in culture in general and in education in specific, one can draw some conclusions who supports and who rejects globalization.
